ReDenim
ReDenim is a project I created as a menswear sustainability project. I was able to ceate this project by recycling old jeans and discarded fabric. the inspiration behind this project was found during my research on the most harmful processes in the fashion industry. A simple outfit such as a white shirt and jeans requires 2,200 gallons of water to produce.
This project was created with 99% recycled materials (the 1% non recycled was the new zipper I put in).
To create the jeans, i cut and reassembled 200 individual squares of old jeans into a quilt like fabric. For the jacket, I created the same technique but used a discarded denim fabric in place.
